I post here simply to remove a red link. But yes, great idea, rate em all. JubalHarshaw 21:27, 9 August 2007 (CDT)

I agree! Rating articles will help to keep the poor executed pages from existing and highlight the fun ones. --EvilSpencerian 15:52, 10 August 2007 (CDT)
Indeed, now all I need to do is find one of those star rating system thing-a-ma-jigs that work with MediaWiki! -- Joe Beaudoin 18:43, 10 August 2007 (CDT)
We found one before... shoot. I have to find it again! :P Shane 15:52, 13 August 2007 (CDT)
There's this one, which I tried installing, but it doesn't work with 1.10. I've happened across this polldaddy.com thing, which will doubtless work with what we've got. But I'd rather have a simple AJAX mouse-over thing going on. -- Joe Beaudoin 17:12, 13 August 2007 (CDT)

Ajax Rating

Well, one that works with 1.10 and above has been released. So the rating bar is on the bottom, although the placement can be far better. What I'd like to do is have the articles be automatically categorized based on the number of stars. For instance anything between 0 and 1 stars is Banal, 1 and and 2 is Crude, etc, but I can't find a way to do that with this script. (I imagine a bot would be able to call the ratings table and insert the new category in the articles...) Thoughts? -- Joe Beaudoin 14:41, 25 September 2007 (CDT)

Not sure about how to make the automatic categorizing work, but I did want to report that I'm getting an error when I try to rate pages, I tried on several and got the following:
Line: 97
Char: 9
Error:'document.all[...]' is null or not an object
Code: 0

This was using IE 6.0 ... I'll try Firefox when I get home tonight. JubalHarshaw 11:20, 26 September 2007 (CDT)
Sunofabitch... Thanks Jubal! Damn Microsuck! -- Joe Beaudoin 12:04, 26 September 2007 (CDT)
Well, it works on the most recent edition of Firefox, since I use it as my default browser. It also works on Safari. -- Joe Beaudoin 12:05, 26 September 2007 (CDT)
Gomen nasai, Joe-san. Drunken Jubal on Firefox 2.0.0.7 is still having issues. I click, it shows me the pretty flower "processing" graphic and sits there. I'll try with IE 7.0 now that I'm home. Regards, JubalHarshaw 19:13, 27 September 2007 (CDT)
IE 7.0, for me, also gives the same error as IE 6.0 did, above. JubalHarshaw 19:15, 27 September 2007 (CDT)
Hmm.... How about a hard refresh? -- Joe Beaudoin 19:27, 27 September 2007 (CDT)
