Frequently Answered Questions for this horrible wiki are below...

In all honesty, we haven't been asked any questions yet, but that hasn't stopped us from writing some. But if you have a question that you think should be answered here, write something on the talk page.

What's with the name?

The name has more to do with the fact that some loser bought the domains "frakr.com" and "frackr.com" from someone who had no use for them.

See, someone named "Mercifull" decided to contact the person who originally registered the domains, since we were looking for a name for what we would later call "Frak Media". Joe talked to the person Mercifull contacted and offered to buy the domains, since the owner expressed a desire to sell 'em. Joe didn't receive a response from the person until, well, months after the fact.

Around the time just before then, the jackass had an epiphany: create a funny version of the Battlestar Wiki! How original! Pppfft!

Oh, and since "frak" and "frack" are Battlestar Galactica terms, it makes sense that we have a Battlestar Galactica website by that name.

In my thorough analysis of "Battlestar Galactica", I have determined that the word "frakr" should be spelled with an "e"...

That's nice, Comic Book Guy.

It's Web 2.0 motherfrakkr. Did you know that the "e" in "er" no longer exists? Its been removed.

Look it up.

Worst. Question. Evr.

Why create a "mockapedia" for Battlestar Galactica?

With the growing of the "silly pages" on the Battlestar Wiki, and the apparent interest they held over both contributors and visitors alike, we decided to try something different.

See, we could have just created "Another Frakking, Boring Battlestar Website", but we don't care to waste our time reinventing the wheel. However, given the success of Uncyclopedia, and the fact that no one has thought too much about mocking Battlestar Galactica (unless you're Harlan Ellison who spoke highly of the Original BSG), we decided to give the concept a go.

What is a "mockapedia" anyway?

Really? If you have to even ask that question...

Ugh. Never mind.

What's with logging in?

Yeah. You have to create an account and log-in, but it's a great thing since you get to have your own user name! It's also free and you can take credit for your own edits, regardless of where you are in the world (or even in your very own basement)!

There are various reasons for this. One is quality control: basically vandalism prevention. Secondly, we have various levels of membership here, so it's easier to do it if you have a username.

Also, being attributed with a username is much more cooler than some crappy IP address.

Won't the people who run and contribute to Battlestar Wiki be pissed?

Well... let's see...

We're hosted on the same web servers as the Battlestar Wiki...

We're run by the same company of people that run the Battlestar Wiki...

We were inspired by the Battlestar Wiki...

Some of us contribute to both...

The frakking loser that created the Wiki Frakr is the same guy who, in February of 2005, came up with the Battlestar Wiki...

What part of this progression escapes you? Seriously.
