Viper Mk. II

The Viper Mk. II is a reimagining of a goofy-looking spacecraft from an odd series from about 30 years ago. The Mk. II was the Viper model primarily in use during the First Cylon War. After the Great Toasting of the Colonies, 40 copies of the Mk. II destined for the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum were returned to flight status to protect the fleet from the Cylons because the Mk. VII's had Dell computers and frakked up at the sight of Flying W's and their glowing red eye.
Despite the Cylons having 40 years to analyze the Mk. II and design a far superior fighter, Raiders appear to be nothing more than cannon fodder for the EPIC AWESOMENESS of the Mk. II.
Apparently, they also clean up very well.
