Welcome
Welcome! Have fun! :-) -- Joe Beaudoin 22:43, 31 July 2007 (CDT)
- Oh I certainly will. Thanks Joe, great idea! -- Veeps 22:46, 31 July 2007 (CDT)
Move permissions
I've granted you move permissions, so that you have the ability to move articles to their proper names, should the task need to be taken. ;-) -- Joe Beaudoin 23:47, 2 August 2007 (CDT)
- Thanks Joe. I'll put it to good use! :p -- Veeps 01:13, 3 August 2007 (CDT)
Disambig
A disambig temp would be nice... Don't know how to creat a temp though, or do you have to import it? -- Veeps 01:26, 3 August 2007 (CDT)
- Heh heh, stupid me. This has already been addressed on this talk page. My bad. -- Veeps 01:30, 3 August 2007 (CDT)
Contraction
What's the say so on use of contractions(words like it's and don't, ect.) in articles for the Wiki Frakr? -- Veeps 03:18, 4 August 2007 (CDT)
- Well, there isn't any... Care to give an example of how'd you use contractions in your prose? -- Joe Beaudoin 03:21, 4 August 2007 (CDT)
- Here is just a few: Galactica (TOS), Battlestar Galactica (RDM), Season 3, Cylons (RDM), and Earth all have one or more contractions. Should we split em' up into two words or keep them as is? I'm asking because on Battlestar Wiki we do not use contractions. If you look at the silly pages imported from the wiki, most of them have hardly any contractions. Mostly in places where it would sound odd to say "There is" instead of "There's". -- Veeps 03:46, 4 August 2007 (CDT)
- I rather like the idea of using contractions here vs the BSWiki. It can be a quirk of ours, if you will. It really reminds me of the whole Data/Lore thing; the only way you could tell them apart is Data couldn't use contractions, while Lore could. ;-) -- Joe Beaudoin 04:10, 4 August 2007 (CDT)
- Glad you think that. So do I. Especially this being all silly pages. -- Veeps 04:13, 4 August 2007 (CDT)
