The Quorum of Twelve is the democratic front for the Fleet leadership. Each comes equipped with a nodding head and a rubber stamp.

Quorum:Origins

The Quorum of Twelve was founded by RoboPlato in the year 4987 BTGT as a means by which to settle the ongoing disputes over the creation of artificial sheep. The number of delegates was decide by rolling two dice and disregarding the outcome completely. The early days of the Quorum were spent deciding whether the existence of Cylons was a good enough reason to allow the existence of electric sheep or whether we should comdemn Cylons to falling asleep without the aid of any sheep whatsoever. This matter was sadly never resolved and shall remain an issue of contention amongst philosophers universe-wide. Do Cylons dream of Electric Sheep?

Quorum: The Lacklustre Comeback

With the nomadic nature of Humans taking precedent over democratic proceedings the Quroum was disbanded unitl permanant residence was established. Kobol, Colonies, Earth, Kobol, Colonies, Earth etc. Geesh pick a homeworld. The semi permanent settlement on the Twelve Colonies wauld seem like an apt time for a comeback but it wasn't until the worlds were over run with arguinf Farmers, Miners and Ninja Turtles that the Quorum decided to reunite. In a fantastic marketing move each member of the Quorum aligned themseilves with one of the Colonial planets and signed exclusive mechandise rights on said planet. The reunion was also marked by the release of a CD Quorum of Twelve: Twelve Hits and an Election. Alas, the reunion was to be shortlived, t he member still hated each other and after milking the comeback for eveything they could and them disbanded. Unsuccesful solo careers ensued, but the less said about them the better. Remember Sarah Porter's - Simply Sarah, no? Lucky you.

Quorum: The Next Generation

After the destruction of the Twelve Colonies the Quorum was restablished but sadly few original members survived and it simply wasn't the same. The material was the same but it just didn't feel right. To this day the Quorum exist but as little more than puppets for Supreme Dictator for Life Laura Roslin.
