Nu Craprica

The planet, dubbed Nu Craprica, was actually discovered by accident. They were trying to find Caprica. Go figure.
It's marginally habitable, what with the worms and all ... but that's pretty much balanced out by the, uh, "salad".
The Colonial Fleet settled on Nu Caprica after Gaius Baltar gloriously defeated Mamadama in the Presidential Elections. The humans figured it was safe because the nebula the planet is in distorts DRADIS imagery. Unfortunately, Baltar's Schlong proved to be too powerful to keep the Cylons out.
