Backstory

  • The Cylons were created by man. They were built to ease everyday life, for example to toast bread automatically, because it was hard to toast them on open fire while people were busily duing space stuff. But the first toasters made a lotta mess, they burnt the bread and still couldn't set the table... So they gave the toasters legs, arms, eyes, and a very smart AI. But the toasters were not happy duing stuff, so they rebelled, and beat the crap out of their masters, and then surrendered back to an other world, and signed an armistice.
  • No one heard about the Cylons for lotta years. Women had to lay the tables manually again for a long-long time. People also almost forgot the tasty Cylon Curry.

Summary

  • Cylons are back! They evolved, their toasting abilites are far beyond the abilities of humans, and they have 1337 hackers - in human form.
  • Galactica finished her duties, thinks the secretary of education.
  • A lazy computer programmer's girlfriend turned out to be a Cylon spy, and the program, Baltar supposed to write, was full with backdoors, becouse the man was busy frakking the Cylon, so she could rewrite the code in her free time (don't even ask me, what I wanted to write here, OK?).
  • The Cylons toast the Colonies and most of their fleet. Poor bastards. The survivors' Ambrosia supply cuts short soon.
  • Galactica just started her duties, thinks William Adama.
  • Laura Roslin accidentaly becomes the president, she starts saving innocent lifes with the prodigal son of the Galactica's commander. They don't save a little girl playing with her dolly, indeed.
  • Adama resupply the ammotion of Galaxative, and finishes a Cylon agent at Ragnar Anchorage by a flashlight.
  • Everybody leavs the solar system, and believes some bullshit about a planet named "[[Earth (RDM)|Earth]".

Analysis

  • GRE47E57 movie ever! Now the Cylons looks cool, they have starfish-saped ships, and some of them has nice tits. Worth watching for Star Trek or Babylon 5 fans as well as for Baywach fans (except that no one in this series has nice chest hair and leather coat (or the leather coat was only in Knight Rider? Frak...), but the b00bz... they are here for ya, guys).
  • Nice to see those lotta nuclear explosions. Really good. And the ships blow up in a beautiful manner. Better than Star Trek: Nemesis, I guess.
  • After all, this movie is a mixture of Terminator-Knight Rider-The Thing-Species in space!

Questions

  • What happened to the Cylons over the course of their 40 year exile?
  • What events transpired that made the Cylons hate their human masters? When did this occur?
  • Where is the Cylon homeworld?
  • Who are those Cylons, anyway?
  • If there's 231 person aboard Galactica, and 32 comes from Colonial Heavy I-don't-know-how-manyth, then after leaves 42 person, there are 41 vipers departing with 1 person aboard them, and 3 raptors leave with 2 men by raptor, then how old is the commander?

Noteworthy Dialogue

The Cylon War is long over, yet we must not forget the reasons why so many sacrificed so much in the cause of freedom. The cost of wearing the uniform can be high, but...sometimes it's too high.
You know, when we fought the Cylons, we did it to save ourselves from extinction. But we never answered the question, why? Why are we as a people worth saving? We still commit murder because of greed, spite, jealousy. And we still visit all of our sins upon our children. We refuse to accept the responsibility for anything that we've done. Like we did with the Cylons. We decided to play God, create life. When that life turned against us, we comforted ourselves in the knowledge that it really wasn't our fault, not really. You cannot play God then wash your hands of the things that you've created. Sooner or later, the day comes when you can't hide from the things that you've done anymore.

Adama: This is the commander. Moments ago, this ship received word of a Cylon attack against our home worlds is underway. We do not know the size or the disposition or the strength of the enemy forces. But all indications point... to a massive assault against Colonial defenses.
Admiral Nagala has taken personal command of the fleet aboard the battlestar Atlantia, following complete destruction of Picon Fleet Headquarters in the first wave of the attacks.
How, why ... doesn't really matter now.
What does matter is that, as of this moment, we are at war.
You've trained for this. You're ready for this. Stand to your duties, trust your fellow shipmates and we'll all get through this. Further updates as we get them. Thank you.
