Gianne

Gianne is the ex-fiance of Lee Adama.
She left him shortly before the Cylon attack on Caprica, as he could not commit to her and his unborn child. It is assumed she and the child were blasted back to the Stone Age[1] along with most of the rest of the Caprica population.
Gianne is now no more than a backlit vision of blonde beauty, magnified in Lee Adama's head out of all proportion to reality. She was probably a whiny, needy, clingly mess. No matter how beautiful they are, Lee, someone somewhere is tired of dealing with their shit. Grow a set of nuts. Seriously. You don't want to be a Helo, do you?
The memory of Gianne helps to destabilize every relationship Lee attempts from then on. Just goes to show that, sometimes, they may leave you - but they never really leave you.
Better to have loved and lost than to never have .... oh shut up.
