Galaktika

Galaktika, the good fairy, not to be confused with Galactica, the battlestar.
Galaktika lives on a planet called Andromeda and is often asked to help the villagers in Spencer-Town. The inhabitants can summon her by singing a song that starts with 'Ich rufe dich Galaktika, vom fernen Stern Andromeda...' ('I call you, Galaktika, from the far away star Andromeda...'). And no matter how not fazed Gali (as her friends from Spencer-Town call her) is by the problems, due to the strange and confusing laws of her people she has to help the Spencer-group.
Background
The Hallo Spencer Show is a children's tv programme that originally aired in Germany (1979 - 2001) and started its world tour in the early 90s. The American episodes of the puppet based show - similar to Jim Henson's Muppets - are a little shorter than the German ones.
