The crew don't like him (gee!) and would rather go to the 'Dog Town' Doctor, who is practices eugenics in his free time, instead of Doc Cottle.

Trivia
Doc Cottle is one of the few individuals known to be immune to the Adama Glare.
He has been known to suck all compassion and sensitivity from a room just by entering it.
