As a recent graduate of the Cylon goo bath, Number Eight found freedom prancing about in her birthday suit. Soon Number Eight shared this with her sisters who also fell in love with the idea. Number One, Cavil took special notice of Number Eight's natural abilities and had a copy specially grown to dance for him while he thinks of ways to end humanity. As group, the Number Eights are known to roam the halls of Cylon Basestars in gangs of up to 40.
