Bono Napkin is a guy with deceitful tendencies, and is an oddity in the Fleet because of the accent and the cat in the bag, who is named Lunch, and the fact that he like collect odd things. Also, he also apparently has a personality, and knew William Adama's father.

An apparent kleptomaniac Napkins "collectiing" was infact an idiosynchratic form of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Napkin is known to have an irrational obsession with the number 33 and as such is compelled to steal said number of things from each new location he inhabits. His personal possesion are said to be allocated in groups of 33 at 33 degree angles throughout the fleet. Paying close attention you can also see that he has 33 identical pairs of sun glasses and 33 different cats.

Like his counterpart from Earth, he has fashionable eye wear and started a band with members Lee Adama and Gaius Baltar... it's not known who would have rounded out the band, since we haven't seen anyone else with English or "foreign" accents, aside from Cottle's nurse.

Since a pesky (and minor) legal proceeding, Bono broke off from his band to champion other causes in the Fleet. Before their split the band aptly titled U33 released a 33 track album of 33 second songs each named after their corresponding numerical order.

Bono makes a return to the series as a consultant to former band member Lee Adama in their hunt for a president after Laura Roslin takes a Baseship on a joyride. Unbeknownst to Adama, 32 of Napkin's cats have been killed by some fraktard amongst the civilian fleet, though by most to have been Boxey in a fit of rage at having been left on the cutting room floor. In response to the assailents lack of respect for his numerology obsessions Napkins losses his marbles and threatens to shoot Lee because his name doesen't have enought syllables. On descovering that Lee's full name is Leeland Bono backs down and questions his mathmatical skills.

Napkins deceitful nature means just about everything he does is a lie and you can't trust the frakker. We don't even think hes Irish and their are claims that he actually owns a dog, not a cat as previously thought such is the depths of his charade.

Beyond the series, Bono is especially notable for being an Irish guy on a sci-fi TV show not played by Colm Meaney.
